Foods to Avoid with Braces

                          These are examples of foods to avoid while wearing braces. Just because

                          a food is not on the list does not mean that you can eat it. Use your

                     common sense.

                   

                                                  Do Not Eat Sticky Foods Such As:

                    Most meats, fruits, and vegetables are allowed. Do be careful with apples, raw carrots, celery,

                    peaches, plums and any meat that is on the bone. They must be cut into small pieces or thin

                    strips before eating.                     

                    

                    Warning: Failure to follow this advice will result in broken brackets and bent 

                    wires. This will prolong treatment time. As long as there is a loose bracket

                    the tooth will not move. If a broken bracket does occur please contact our 

                    office immediately and we will be happy to see you for an emergency 

                    appointment.
